Clariant leveraged its expertise in polymer products to develop custom filaments for 3D printers. aroma:id designed products that demonstrate these filaments' properties and applications, which were showcased at international trade shows.
One project involved a customizable housing for processor units that highlighted the flame-retardant properties of the filament. Another project was an assembly aid for the automotive industry that protects rims and marks screw positions. The 3D printed parts offer the advantage of being quickly adaptable, reducing downtime.
